No not that but Hondomachi is still a detective but this time she don't cooperate in bc they need her help in this investigation and traine the newbie as well (you see that Matsuoka being split from them) And of course the time line in here is after the anime (づ￣ ³￣)づ

So based on the fact that Hondomachi is a full field officer, and she's with Mr. Rookie who we saw at the end of the anime, does that mean she's no longer a brilliant detective, or she decided to go back to field work, or the anime chose to make Hondomachi the rookie instead to consolidate characters? I can't tell if she has her hole, so maybe this is all before the proliferator. Clearly, the manga and the anime are doing different things, so I'm just trying to see where this is in the time line.
