For your second paragraph I’m not too sure, I thought it might be some sort of destined partners/reincarnation thing but that’s probably just because I’ve been reading a lot of those types recently.
I think the main focus of Beni and Suzuran’s relationship is possessiveness and controlling their instinct, Beni is probably facing heartbreak over Suzuran because he WANTS to be possessive but can’t, and I feel like it could also be some sort of the usual mix up, where he thinks he’s just being used cuz he’s easy and he isn’t actually loved by Suzuran = heartbreak

Why can’t Beni just stay in love with Suzuran. Isn’t it just ok to love him even if Suzuran is for everybody? But the guy only sleeps with him anyway. And they can’t be mates until he passes the supreme title to someone else. He should just do that if he truly loves Beni.
And I’m also kinda confused on Fuyou’s dream where there’s guys who got married but they look older and it’s not even him. But the story said he fell inlove with a nier and got his heart broken. So maybe that dream of 2 older looking guys getting married was just his outlook on becoming tied forever and has nothing to do with his love for a nier which didn’t work out? or maybe that nier got married to a different guy? Mmm this will all come clear maybe on upcoming chapters.
