Well he wasn’t that much of a jerk compared to the other guys in harlequin comics. He did it to protect her because if she found out her uncle cheated and her grandpa knew he was scared she would be hurt by being used. So he wasn’t that bad.
Like was a jerk but I can forgive him for that as he had a justified reason.
I won't say his way of doing it was the right approach. Could have done it a bit differently but understandable.
