But that’s unlikely. Since Clarisse is a duke’s daughter so she definitely would’ve recognised the prince. Even if she was there for the first time, I’m guessing Clarisse and the prince know each other since they are of high status among nobility and mostly likely met in other occasions. If she was the chosen girl of that night then the prince would’ve recognised her unless he stopped showing up to social gathering when she started to frequent the social events(plus he would’ve taken the ring afterwards in the hopes with him).
Though, I also would’ve loved those pair. But, Jade is more like a bother figure, he more or less acknowledges this and seems to want to be great friends as someone she could rely on.

Am I the only one who wishes that Teresse will get her dream come true to become a court lady and end up with Jade instead of the Prince? I'm hoping there really is more to Clarisse and she could be the Prince's puppy love. Then, Teresse can be her friend and help bring out that girl in the past and shatter her ice queen persona - in private only though.
