
You have heard of the theory that we humans evolved from the same ancestors as the modern apes we see today? It's basically similar in here.
Questions: If that is the case then why are there still animals? If we evolved from monkeys why are there still monkeys, if there are bunny people why are there still actual bunnies?
Answers: Some animals evolved in the other direction and this direction happens to grant them/us these human forms and substantial sentience and intelligence while the other animals continued evolving in the same direction which caused them to maintain their original form and level of intelligence and sapience.
This is why I find apes to be quite creepy because they seem "almost" human to me while actually being not.
Are they actual animals? Or are they held against their will at a rabbit cafe??!
