Reversible yaoi couples

Don;t Mind this Weeb March 28, 2020 3:15 am

I wanted to know why people HATE and absolutely HATE seke couples?
I have noticed many people hating on my comments where I ask for a seke(reversible) couple.
Unlike many I like to focus on both(or more) parties feeling pleasure.
Also being a Dom or sub doesn't apply to your position. Why don't people understand this and expect the supposed bottom(uke) to be a sub?

Edit: Thank you for answering and not reporting my question I was having second thoughts in deleting this if people were offended or had misinterpreted something.

Again, thank you very much I'm glad

Probably because they can’t distinguish fantasy gay from reality gay. But I don’t really see people hating on reversibles couple much?

You gotta understand that the majority of people who read yaoi are fudanshis. Now I don't want to make generalizations, but I'd expect that girls imagine themselves as the uke, being dominated by a hot/masculine seme. But with a seke? Are girls going to strap on a d*ck?

    *fujoshi lol sorry

Tbh I don't see that many hate seke, but I do feel like too many don't like them as much or aren't comfortable with it :/

I'm sad too since I love versatile couples the most, and sometimes I do feel a bit better when it's the cuter/smaller guy on top, while the more masc one is the bottom. Though not perfect, but at least it's like a breath of fresh air in comparison to where masc guys always top and the bottoms are fem (nothing wrong with actual fem guys, it just pisses me off when in mangas it's so obvious they're there to basically be a girl, and I mean this quite literally).

Maybe I love versatile so much bc I'm versatile myself (hi, a bi girl here). And I definitely agree, personality, looks, all those things have nothing to do with sexual preferences.

Btw, Crepescule, girls strapping on a dick? Ngl, definitely hot xD But yeah, your explanation is probably on point.

(=・ω・=) if you read smut yuri, you'll see that happen a lot

    lol, the stupid kids xD

For real though, I feel like if the authors started creating more versatile couples, that'd become a norm with time. It's just that right now, not enough authors are willing to take the risk, which is kinda the problem since it only fuels the idea that there absolutely must be fixed top/bottom roles

Oof, I do read yuri smut, yes. Generally, I feel like it does have more versatile couples though? Idk, maybe it's just the tiles I've read. Though there's still too many following the stupid fixed top/bottom trope

Seke couple = reversible/versatile couple. You clearly didn't read the comment correctly, go read it again, it's not all over the place, your understanding of it is.

The second part was clearly not referring to the versatile couples, simply to the fact that many people automatically expect the bottom to be submissive, which can get annoying. Thankfully, more and more people do realize that power bottoms are a thing.

Yeah. So two topics that are in fact connected in the same comment. Something wrong with that?

That's only because you see them as separate issues, while in fact, they very often go hand in hand

"Also being a Dom or sub..." They used the word 'also'. As in, additionally. It doesn't mean it needs to be part of the same topic they were speaking about earlier. Simply an additional thing that bothers them. And as I said before, both topics are in fact often (not always) connected. So again, I don't see anything wrong with it.

ALSO, you do realize that this is a manga comment section, not an essay? You're nitpicking at things that are so easy to understand, I actually wonder if you're being serious or not.

Those things are related and the fact that you don't realize just highlights your lack of critical thinking skills.

Oh I've never seen it from that direction wow
I read yaoi because I like seeing men fall for each other? Something like that

I've read toooooooooooooooooooooooo many ffs and stories to confuse Dom and sub and top and bottom. I know that Dom is the controlling one and sub is the receiving one. And I don't mean receiving as being the bottom. Bottom doms are a thing and one of my favourite things.
Please consider being polite next time you answer someone's question.

The person is just curious about things and when they get opportunity to ask questions of course they would ask them. I know it's good to see from all angles and thoughts but it hurts feelings when a fellow enthusiast becomes rude to you.

I'm sorry once again for not directing the question properly for you.
