The male lead was so annoying, gosh. I hate that he was still interested in his ex, he took way too much time to understand Katherine's worth. I mean: I hate dumb male character like Edmund Bertram from Mansfield park or that one from Wives and daughters by Elizabeth Gaskell, and yes also Arthur Clennam from Little Dorrit, so easy to fall for a pair of pretty eyes, without noticing the gems they have just next to them.
