Isn't Taku quite an easy one though? From my point of view, he is someone who falls in love with an illusion of someone, a short, very short moment of intense beauty that person shows off through the lens, but the moment he has tried it, he doesn't want it anymore because it is not as sweet as reality.
Haesoo, however, is different from Taku, since he fell in love Haesoo's words, his stories, basically in Haesoo's personality, too. He fell in love with who Haesoo was before even meeting him. So he wanted him for himself since the start and is becoming desperate to have him by any means.
He stalked Haesoo a bit too much, which is why he took the approach he found best and now he's losing his patience and confidence, so he's behaving this way.
I may be totally off, but... dunno, this seems okay.
I was thinking he has some kind of personality disorder. Lol. I mean his face is so stoic up until his feud with Joowon, when I finally saw raw expressions from him. Putting it in a perspective of "expectation vs reality" and him being so unamused of reality fits perfectly.
I wonder what made Haesoo so attractive while the others weren't? I might have missed that one, too. If you can please enlighten me. Thankies!
But if reality is unamusing, and if misery and chase (making my own theory here) are what make Haesoo so attractive, what happens once he finally attains Haesoo? Joowon would then be right about him.
Oh, definitely not! I think he's just a rather stoic person, which adds up to how mysterious he is? I didn't want to read too much into it, but yeah, now that you mentioned that, it makes sense!
I think there doesn't have to be anything! We just like different sorts of people, right? Like, perhaps to someone else, my fiance is just an average guy, whereas to me, he's the most amazing person in the world because of his qualities, but not every girl likes those qualities? I guess Taku likes how complicated, insecure and messed up Haesoo is, as well as his secrecy, perhaps? He wants to be the one to discover him and steal him away? I'm not quite sure!
I want to believe Taku really fell in love with Haesoo now that he has tried being with him, and that even if he does attain him, he will love him even more. I'm a bit more team Taku, I guess, I'd prefer Haesoo to start off fresh, in a way. Both Haesoo and Jowoon have wronged each other way way too much to go back.
I was just trying to label why he has few expressions. Lol.
I hope you are right. It's all just him wanting to unravel Haesoo himself. Freeing Haesoo or anything that is for Haesoo's benefit at the end. Love can be selfish but the goal he wants to achieve in the end is to be selfless for Haesoo.
I am in no teams actually. I'm just looking forward how each character is written and I hope the author gives the perfect ending for each character, whether it's a sad or a fan service kind of ending. As long as I, a reader, feel closure for each character and their respective issues.
1) Haesoo - pretty easy to analyze, has insecurity issues with having a relationship with his former step brother
2) Joowon - insecure about Haesoo's love for him. Still to find out what made him so hesitant to make it official with Haesoo (long after their parents divorced), at the least try.
3) Taku - Why? Just why? Why is he so emotionless? How did he fall in love with Haesoo through his story? Why does he need to take Joowon's place? Like he can't make Haesoo love him just as is without having to kick Joowon out. Taku is still a mystery to me. Been trying to analyze him but I can't get anything. The more info is said about him, the mystery just piles up.
Though it's fun to see people in the comments finally waking up that this story is not the typical romance series. None of the characters are to be cheered for. All of them have flaws that make either others or themselves miserable.
