Really? Where can you read the novel?
What chapter did they mention that? I have read the novel years ago, but did not get anything satisfactory.
Actually, there's supposed to be other chapters that weren't translated. e.g. that of his secretary where he saw how Wenxu started to cheat as many people come to the Wenxu's office and he hears it.

Just finished reading the WEBTOON and I’m currently reading the novel. The novel is more detailed than the WEBTOON. Reading the novel made my heart ached for both main characters and I’m not condoning Jiang Wenxu‘a actions but I did pitied him a little bit. If you read the novel, you may understand why. The novel give more details on why he became the person he is.
