I agree that Shin is borderline-controlling and too sensitive whenever it comes to Wolfgang. But I beg you pardon to consider his past trauma and the burden he carries inside. It’s true that his mentality is unstable and he utterly doesn’t believe he deserves Wolfgang’s affection, which combined with Wolf’s oblivion and inexperience has been stalling their relationship for so long. There’s progress to come, small as it is, so I hope they can one day address his issues.
I disagree, I think Shin show his affection in the only way he know how that wasn't twisted by the old king. by making Wolf the best king he can be, this is his way to make him happy. and Wolf know that by the way and is aware of his past. besides he isn't a normal person that had a normal childhood, I bet if you had a childhood with a perv Pedophilia that want to rape you and touch you all the time, you won't hurry to hug someone too. so he is doing it in another way, his own way. and you know what, it is fine.
i'm really starting to dislike shin. he rarely (if ever) shows affection to wolfgang and constantly criticises him. just because you deeply worry for someone's wellbeing to the point of paranoia and anger, it doesn't mean you're not a toxic person.
i understand that the king is too reckless but he's still the /king/ and he's already proven he's a lot smarter and stronger than he appears, or else why would he have survived on the streets as a child? He should only be given guidance by his advisor, not shouted at and slapped and ignored like a child.
shin is literally just taking his own insecurities and self-hatred out on wolfgang at this point. and wolfgang is too nice so he just takes it all.
