Yea.. like you I was wrecking my brain because I couldn't understand what's going on the last time I read it.. lol
this is my third time reading it and only now do I understand what really happened.
I think he said he consumed her in his dream maybe not literally but it is a sad future.. damn I thought I wouldn't get over how the wolf guy and her broke up but.. if the author had continued I'd be a sad sh*t haha..

But nah fr tho you have to read it from a multi timeline perspective-
