Any suggestions for a yaoi manga with a good, memorable plot?

Sometimes, I get tired of reading the same three types of yaoi mangas:
1. Good smut but, bad plot
2. Decent smut but, bad plot
3. Decent smut and a decent plot
I have been reading yaoi for about nine years and it's kind of sad how many either I don't remember or I remember for very basic reasons (it was really hot, really fucked up, or etc.) I'm just looking for a change of pace. Something that I'll think about for a long time. Something I can have a discussion about and allow me to think about the characters and their motivations.
To preface, I'm not looking for something ground-breaking or extremely complex and thought-provoking (that would be cool though lol). Anything that makes me do more than just think "that's hot" is good enough lol.
Thanks for reading and any replies would be appreciated.

You should try Smells like Green Spirit. It's one of my personal favorites, and captures the struggles of teenagers trying to discover and understand their sexual identity. The art and the story are both beautiful, and there's pretty much no smut at all in it. Also the mc is pretty badass.

Hi, maybe you can try reading BL (MxM) novels instead of comics ? The format unables more descriptions, world and plot building.

comics are mostly serialised (people see one chapter at once) so an author may try to grab the attention with some smut, at the cost of the plot. You are more likely to find good stories according to your expectations among books because of their pace.

Descriptions are an efficient way to create deepness to pretty much anything in a story. And it can have good smut as well

You do have a point, however, that's not always necessarily true. You can be descriptive and have world and plot building within comics.
The difference between comics and novels is that illustrations is an integral piece of storytelling for comics while novels rely on words. Just because comics can't describes things fully in a written format doesn't mean that it can't be more descriptive.
A good artist and writer can describe things with pictures alone and can hint it certain behaviors or details with lighting and shot positions. For an example, if an artist wanted to convey that a character feels of a lower class or position than another character, the artist can position the camera in such a way that whenever those two characters are interacting, the one of higher status has the camera aimed up at them while the one of lower status has the camera aimed down at them. That's a way to illustrate a difference of class without saying words.
Now, the way comics are serialized is true but, sometimes reading a manga is a good change of pace. Novels can sometimes be incredibly long-winded and "meaty". Sometimes, I would like to look at visuals and experience a different way of storytelling rather than pages and pages of words. I'm not saying that I hate novels. I actually love them and I'm currently working on finishing one now. My point is that mangas can be incredibly detailed and thought-provoking just like a novel.
Thank you for the suggestion though! ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
