Kamiya? It finally dawned on him that he had no chance. Zero. Nada. Even broken up, Asuka still didn't choose him. There's no shame in giving up when it's clear it's hopeless.
I would have agreed if the end was satisfying, but the male lead didn't actually work for the relationship. I don't think he deserved her, actually. She did 90% of the work. I don't usually change ships (and Kamiya was quite forcefull in the begining, and that's a no), but she deserved better. Rushed ending, maybe?
I love Asuka, and I agree she did most of the work and was definitely the more mature one in their relationship. I'm satisfied with the ending purely because Ryu was honestly the only one Asuka wanted, I think. Perhaps if their break up was truly clean/a few more years had passed, then maybe she could have found someone more worthy. I'm happy she's happy, I guess. I actually really did like Kamiya, and whilst he was forceful, I liked the chemistry between them more. Unfortunately the heart wants what it wants, and it wasn't him.
I agree with you. I am happy that she is happy, but not too happy with the end. Maybe it's because i re-read the whole thing and the last chapters seems lacking in effort form Ryu. I mean, the end it's cute. the kids as cute. I was just hoping more. Expectations are a b*tch xD
