I honestly don't like how adele just left without talking things out with the duke like n...

Idk these are just my thoughts: But she did talk with the Duke initially, however since the Duke wasn't giving her a straight answer she decided to take drastic measures. Even then right now she is just waiting for the Duke cuz she knows the Duke loves her , it's to make him understand that,nthat she left. something like how you truly don't understand the value of something until you lose it. But lol idk y even though ik all this mentally, her attitude is annoying me too

Adele doesn't want to deal with crazy women anymore so she needs everyone in the country to know the Duke loves her. However, the Duke could not honestly tell her he loved her and if that's the case then it's a lost cause. She still has hope though so she is going back to her family to see if the Duke will let her go (meaning he doesn't love her) or go get her (meaning he loves her). If he goes to get her then it will be spread all through high society that the Duke went to get Adel back because he loves her and every lady will know to not pursue the Duke anymore (which also ends the rumors about the Duke with other women: Susan and the maid).

I agree with you. At first i thoight that is was quite immature but this chapter made me reakise that it's strategy to deal with not just the current rumors, like you mentioned, but also any future "susans" who may take advantage of this situation and all of it's possible future implications. I mean the duke is the most eligible bachelor in the kingdom alongside the prince so it makes sense that she wants to ensure a peaceful, scandal-free marriage, free from gossip. At least thats what i've taken away from this chapter.

For me, her timing is terrible. It's good to cut off the rumors but why would she do it when things with susan are still open? To me, that's stupid because it also puts her life in danger. I wonder how she will feel once she learns the Duke was almost killed while dealing with everything
