I read Lan Chi long time ago and that shit is super dark. Main theme is the same but I like how lighthearted this one

Dont know why, but most chinesw manhuas lack even the most basics of common sense. Then theres their novels that are actually pretty good.

Right?? Of the top of my head, Lan Chi and midnight train are the only good manhuas i know. Sometimes I’ll find one I actually enjoy and then the male lead rapes the mc and we’re supposed to be fine with it. It’s so frustrating!
I just began reading chapter 1 but the plot really reminds of Lan Chi. It’s one of the very few manhuas I genuinely enjoy for the good story telling. It’s about a girl who gets adopted into a family for looking like her adoptive parents’ deceased daughter. And her brothers mistreat her because of this. As time flies they get closer etc... and though there are funny/cute/light hearted moments the story is still overall quite dark. I think this is going to be similar except the story will be much lighter. Which I appreciate.
