I agree with this 100%, honestly if I had the money I would definitely pay for the stories myself. But unfortunately that's not the case, so instead I'm someone who relies on uploaders. Not even discontinue, it'd be best to take it down.
I really like your way of thinking, wait a couple months/a year after the comic is finished, then you can upload here. That way the author gets all the possible (well most) money they can, so uploading is not a problem anymore
So the issue is.. the author found out their story is being stared on this illegal website, and they’re willing to take legal actions against mangago and the uploader?
Personally I’m split.. I love this webcomic and I’d love to continue reading it, but I don’t have money to give like that. So I’m happy it’s free, then again the author isn’t getting the support they want or possibly need from this. It’s like- drawing a commission for someone and not getting your full pay.
So I’m the end, it might be best to discontinue this until maybe a little while after the manga is finished so the artist can get the credit they deserve from people who have that money. So in the end, maybe— just maybe both parties will be happy.
Idk really, we can survive without one webcomic, plus the author deserves the money.
