Uh...the first same-sex marriage in Ireland took place this year. It just wouldn’t be interesting if everyone approved the two.
First: not sure what same sex marriage in Ireland has to do with my comment
Second: according to wikipedia same sex marriage has been legal in Ireland since 2015
Third: I agree that we need conflict in the story I just wish the author had either come up with something different OR had made the two races noticeably different.

Honestly because they just looked like regular humans (vampires don't have fangs, pale skin or sensitivity to light. And werewolves don't appear to shift) they just come off as being racist. "Everyone's gonna be mad at me because you're a vampire and I'm a werewolf" comes off like "Everyone's gonna be mad at me because you're black and I'm white" I mean even THEY can't tell the difference, that vampire snuck into their werewolf party and no one noticed.
