They did respond. It looked like your typical computer generated response. "Thank you for your feedback" "going further we will use this information to try to provide a better service to our customers" they implied that they were looking into it though. Btw I do buy the chapter raw and english cause I love this story. And my email to them was typed with the utmost respect. Not trying to get this canceled lol we will see what happens.
To be honest, I think it's probably a mistake made by the fans rather than a mistake made by the translators. The translators are fluent in both languages whereas the fans are often still learning or rely on translation software.
We have had many of those discussions in the past and in the end it almost always turns out to be a mistake made by fantranslators. That's also one of the reasons why I'm not a fan of fantranslations of officially licensed titles being uploaded here.
Learning Korean has become popular fairly recently and many fantranslators aren't good enough yet to translate chapters within such a short amount of time.
It's not like official translations are always accurate, people make mistakes doesn't matter how good they are, but in this case, I think it's the fans.
I just read the entire discussion and I admit I'm not always reading every chapter since I don't care much about the plot but how was this an incorrect translation? He said it in the actual scene as well and it would've made no sense to use Lord in that context. The flashback was supposed to be a trigger for the noble because painter always goes on about the teacher. If he had used my lord instead of learned sir that scene could've not been a trigger and it would have made no sense to even put it there.
I kinda doubt the accuracy of the official translation rn. Same thing happen in chap34 as SH said “i can’t do anything at this rate, can i?”. The original text clearly contains 2 words “scared” and “dare”, but none of them were included in the translated version.
