I honestly don't understand what just happened. I've not been following this manga for a long time because of all the drama, but I was not expecting that kind of ending. What on earth happened? I saw the cover page and it looked like he was missing a leg for some reason and then I looked through the rest of the chapter.....it makes no sense. Why did he have to die and leave Iwaki behind? I thought he was pretty young and healthy.
this is called bad writing, the author ruined everything for no reason. And about your question, he got injured i think in a fire and for a while he was fine but then he died in his sleep. FUCK THAT

Thank you for answering my question! I agree. The ending is just really sad and confusing. I'm not really sure what the author intended with ending the manga like that. I don't get how he could die in his sleep unless he had some health issue that went unnoticed or he breathed in too much smoke from the fire.
