I guess they being like their reincarnation means that there is no way they can be together till they are old. Which is honestly disturbing

I’m with you on this. I know many people die like that but it’s just ugh, it doesn’t seem like the right death for him.

Many writers take that route you know to kill an important character, getting hit in the head/internal bleeding somewhere.. it just makes it more tragic and unbelievable.. you just sit there and let it absorb that the character is really gone..it shakes you and makes an emotional impact in a way..

It doesn’t seem to go with the mood of the series though.
Yes, it was more on the realistic side, however it was pretty unrealistic in its own way too, why? Because this was fiction. Maybe it actually made sense for this sequel, I can’t say for sure because I dropped it as it didn’t have the previous series magic. Even so, it had his really unrealistic things too.
From the beginning of this sequel to the end, you can feel that it’s no the same, such as it’s not their every day lives to you get to see and the ocasional problems that arise but a more dark take on things. Honestly it wasn’t magical nor gave you that hopeful and nice feeling anymore by the end, when a problem was resolved.
I guess it makes sense, the mangaka probably changed along these years, so her vision of life and the outcome of this manga were altered.

True.. though there is that everyone read it for romance it had.. in the sequel it's more about the maturity their relationship has attained over the years.. and I would have loved to see more romance than having a tragedy.. it's more hurtful bc Katouxiwaki were shown as the inseparable pair.. but they did in the end which is tragic but a real part of life .. I haven't read the chap ahead and I will not here on so I can't comment if the character killing was necessary..
