I don’t really like putting scanlators on pedestals but they’re still human so I don’t expect them to be professional since they’re doing this during their free time. I recommend ignoring their ramblings.
I will never understand why some translators get so overprotective of the narrative and try to control people's responses to it. It's not even your story in the first place, so the personal stake in the reader response is so strange to me. Obvi we appreciate what you do and there wouldn't be much of a scanlation community without yall, but that doesn't mean you get to police the opinions on the stories that you've translated. The snippy little warnings and admonishments on the credits pages take away from the reading experience, it's a little too JKR iykwim ╮(￣▽￣)╭
