First off, before I get to my actual thoughts on this, I just wanted to start off by saying I couldn't help giggling when Chief Choi's name was revealed to be Tommy. Not sure why, but that really amused me, and I thought it was cute. >v<
To be honest, I felt really satisfied with that ending. It was short, and Alex's demise was pretty fast, all things considered, but it felt appropriate for what this story was. I didn't want Clark to fall in love with him or die himself, but I was also really worried about Alex being apprehended and living on. Glad the author went with this route in the end. Not to mention, Clark's final words to Alex? Holy moly. That was a very strong jab for such a simple remark, and I love it.
