well, in my perspective i think it's up to you on how it was ended since it is a cliffhanger with the truck being close to bum.... the two possible endings I would imagine would be him being hit by a truck or the inspector who is finding him is not too late and saved him on the accident.. or whatever ending there could be

He was Sangwoo... But Sangwoo was dead. So Bum was running to his own death (unintentionally)

I low-key ship bum and the detective guy. They both have miserable experience. Like if the detective saved bum at the right time bum may see it as a new begging and at the same moment, bum may see it as a last goodbye to sangwoo and realized that sangwoo will never return and that he should be happy too. Like for what he said before he knew that sangwoo already died at the hospital. (He was nearly moved on) by thinking the way it is I think I already moved on to Killing and stalking after a few weeks of crying and re-reading it.
Sangwoo died at the end in the day where Yoonbum's gonna visit him but Yoonbum was scared so he never get a chance to visit him then the couple of days later (I think) Yoonbum visit him but he only got the ashes of Sangwoo then,he went to Sangwoo's house and then the is you know Yoonbum remember when he is with Sangwoo...
