i completely hated him too. how could he sacrifice that level of love and commitment just to 'play or fool around'. it goes to show he didn't love him enough. it's funny he says all his effort in work is for the mc, but when he does have the money in the end, he goes and blows it on hoes. what a chad.
*crying manly ugly tears* THANK YOOOU!
Some of my frustrations were cleared by this. Especially those where he left Wenxu to pursue his dreams and his own hardships coming into fruition. Unlike what happened in the novel where he did not pursue medicine for Wenxu, he got the money from their previous boss to start a new business and be locked up inside the house by Wenxu, while Wenxu fucks others relentlessly then Zishu lives 2 years in agony and pain, before finally passing away with all his efforts coming to waste and left with 150,000. Damn, please continue this, maybe this can clear my thoughts regarding the original story as it broke me real hard that my heart literally aches every time I think of it (since 2018) hahaha. Thanks! My Happy Ending:
He Zhishu closes his eyes for the final time, and then opens them once more. His breathing is deeper and stronger, unlike the painfully weak and shallow thing it's been for the past year. His body feels as light as a cloud. It no longer feels heavy like an anchor ready to sink into a deep abyss. He's come back somehow. He Zhishu is back. A decade of hardship, love, betrayal, and love again are gone - just like that. He Zhishu has never felt so alive.
Gist of the story:
*He Zhishu wakes up to just after he and Wenxu arrive in Beijing.
*He leaves Wenxu and goes off to pursue his dreams. He Zhishu will become a doctor this time around. Jiang Wenxu, without any resources yet, is unable to find his fleeting lover.
*He Zhishu struggles, but his efforts ultimately off. He goes back home, and his reunion with his family is filled with tears, relieved sobbing, and tight embraces.
*Sometimes, in the dead of night, He Zhishu dreams of soft curls, gentle hands, and a loving smile.
*He gets lonely, but Zhishu's never been one to seek comfort from another. Though he does get plenty of offers, most even hoping for something beyond a night. He is thankful, but his heart is still firmly in the grasp of a man he has yet to meet.
*He Zhishu saves a couple of stray kittens by the side of the road. They make for great company. His heart feels a tiny bit less empty.
*On a regular day, he meets the young, new intern. Soft curls, gentle hands, and a friendly smile. He Zhishu hopes his smile does not betray the overwhelming love ready to barrel it's way out of his chest.
*Zhishu sees Dr. Ai mature and slowly come to be the man he fell in love with. He helps him through tougher days; he is there for him when he loses his first patient.
*Zhishu vows to make sure there will never be a moment this man will feel unloved. But first, he should check to see if he's free for dinner tomorrow. He recently heard the doctor's adopted a puppy. Hopefully, he's not too busy.
*And it all happened so quickly, Zhishu pulls back from their first kiss (of many, he promises), only to be greeted by the sight of fresh flowing tears.
"Ah," Zhishu smiles, "you made me wait quite a bit."
