I hate when names are "Westernized" unless the author specifically gave them those names, there really isn't any need to change it.
On the other hand I love how the translation makes sense. Sorry to people who do their own translations, but I've stumbled across so many unreadable stories (mostly Chinese) because the translations at best, you have to do some mental gymnastics to make sense of it and at worst is literally just a string of random words that make no sense at all.
I'm not familiar with the American grading system, but if I'm not mistaken Chu Yi (初一?) literally means high school junior. Hang Yan translated into Hank tho... kinda weird but ehh it works i guess.
