DID

Speaking from someone who actually has DID... i wanna say that its not unusual for mangas to exaggerate mental disorders and its fine as long as they don't give out false information and make us look dangerous or something of sort..
From what i saw i guess Rei is the Host who has the longest time being 'out'(in control).. since alters don't really stay for a long time as yall saw with kazuha.. the thing is... we don't switch as we like or we don't switch out of nowhere.. everyone has positive and negative triggers that make different alters to 'come out' the one that will take care of the problem i guess.. ( rarely AND I MEAN RARELY it happens without and actual reason)
And every alter and host have their own personality its not like one is the always angry one or one is always the sweet one.. just because i punched you in the face doesn't mean it was one of my 'aggressive alters'
Also having DID means the person had very bad childhood trauma so their brain went like... ' hey! i think that if you take all this information at once you will be under a lot of pressure so!( ̄∇ ̄") Lemme split you in half and give that half most if the memories of that traumatic experience!! Haha ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭'
Tbh imma point out some things later in the story cuz i really don't want DID to be misunderstood in some way!
Thanks for reading!!

Thank you for sharing! I was a bit confused about the way it was portrayed, it seemed like an exaggeration.

I don't have DID but a while ago I found this YouTube channel called DissosiaDID. It was my first time hearing about this disorder and I got really interested to learn about it (it's actually really complicated and there are so many more things I have to learn). So when I saw that this manga talks about DID I got excited but also I really hope that it won't take it lightly or relay wrong information. I am not a professional though ofc and I've never met/talked to people with DID so I am happy to hear one's opinion about the plot ヾ(☆▽☆).
    P. S. I hate how the main character just decided to switch rooms without trying to understand and hurt Rei ╥﹏╥ Systems with DID deserve only love

That's what I was thinking. Not a patient, but I do love reading about DID and it usually happens because of horrible childhood trauma. That coupled with the opening scene of an attempted childrape makes me wonder if both Yuma and Rei were the victims. But Yuma "forgot" - PTA - the incident and Rei split his conscience.

Ohh that is a really interesting theory! Now I wanna know even more what happens next >.< Have you read any other DID manga before? Thid is my first one, but I would love to read others if you know any.

The good thing is that the switching part wasn't exaggerated like it made me feel good for some reason! I've seen some movies and dramas where they go complete nuts while switching! Yes our head hurts and we may hear our alters voices but mostly we just zone out and idk max rub our eyes of cover our face XDDD

Bruhhhh that makes so much sense!! so that scene was like a negative trigger for Rei that made him switch to Kazuha!!!

I am really grateful to that channel!! After my friends pointed out my weird behaviour and everything and before i got officially diagnosed i started watching her! She made me love myself the way i am.. she made me love and respect my alters! She is brilliant!!

Actually.. i really like it! Yes there are mistakes here and there but the plot is nice and I'm looking forward to what will happen!
Its hard to date a person with DID and was reason of many of my breakups but if they end it with Rei being cured... I'll lose it XDDDDDD its nearly impossible to do it! Being 'cured' means you overcame your trauma... (tbh even if you get cured or whatever your alters don't fully disappear they are just as silent for a long time)

oh yes, i'm glad you're liking it even with the flaws and i hope we get to see something nice them being able to be together and yuma being understanding of rei's DID. in the meantime i went ahead and googled everything i could. i have a friend who told me his voices are silent these days and he hopes they stay like that, otherwise it means his trauma must be triggering him, right? he told me something very briefly about it being a war inside his head sometimes. i never got the chance to see him switching tho (at least not that i noticed). thanks to you i did my research and now i think i can understand what my friend has been going through a lot better.
