hey, since this is one of my absolute favourite mangakas, i make the deal to write my understanding of the situation of this manga. while looking for the raw of chapter 10, i stumbled over something. idk if it's reassuring for you or not, but maybe check out the comments from dec. 22. 2019 hayakawanojiko(dot)tumblr(dot)com i hope a little that she changed the outcome (i bet most read about why the scanlation group dropped this one) for the manga printing. as most of you probably know, drawing manga with close deadlines is stressful. Also having to rely (maybe obey, idk) on your editor, to edit or shorten your story because the publisher decides to not continue this series for another volume must be frustrating. I kind of have the feeling that Hayakawa, as many others, was in such a situation, since i have the impression of her working very exact (i mean, look at her drawings and paneling! i've never seen such small panels over and over again in other works) and because of her cautious way of storytelling. How the chapters went on appear bit rushed for her style... And also, as the comment in the link tells, because she seemed to change quite a bit for the manga printing.
i have the feeling, considering the background info/probable situation, that she didn't want it to go this way. but i might be wrong of course.
maybe someone will scan the manga version, then we can say for sure that it went that/this/another way. who knows. but if anyone finds the last raws (which i couldn't) i would be happy to translate them... i dont like letting stories without an end, especially when i respect the author so much.
(((dunno if the other already got deleted or not, but since i accidentally posted it anonymous first, i repost it with my account.)))
There's a comment above saying she bought the rest of the chapter online but can't read jap. Maybe you can ask her for the chapter so you can translate them and please share it with us broke people. Thank you (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
