The black haired dude is Athy's father's older brother, that's what I've been getting from the read. It's been hinting it ever since he showed up that he's related to Athy's father.

In the novel, after Athy came back in the palace, Claude still haven't regained his memories yet but he didn't want Athy to go and leave him again (he really put restriction magic in the palace that if Athy tries to use magic to teleport away, it will physically hurt Claude so of course Athy who loves his daddy can't hurt him). So Athy promised to meet jenette so she had to go out. She asked permission from Claude. In the convo, there's a line where Athy said to Claude,
"As long as my father waits for me, I will never disappear silently as before.
Because this is my home. My dad is where my home is."
Really.. this Jenette and black haired dude arc kept on being dragged. Ugh.
