    I know, it feels very cringe-y and dehumanizing.

    However,I think the author is trying to go with the mentality of the times (medieval). During times of monarchs and nobility, they owned their servants too.

    I think the author is using that, or it is lost in translation from Korean.

    Yeah but....this is a story ....a male lead should have this nobility or sense of justice to their character.....
    But now a days authors as selling this cold-blooded handsome hunk with a tragic past who starts off treating the MC like trash....and ofc girls who fangirls over that.
