Can I ask you? Do you think mangago would be shut down if these things keeps up? Like for example the argument on the manga ITW? And the posting of licensed manga? I'm just curious and also worried. I mean no offense.

The creators might get tired of it and close down. Not for licensed mangas though. If you live in certain countries, all manga on mangafox are licensed and It's still there. What probably happened in itw section was probably the company owning the copyright threatened to sue them if they didn't take it down.

That and it was a brewing area for nothing but uncivilized behavior.

I don't pretend to know how all of this works behind the scenes, but the vast majority of the manga on this site (I think) do not get translated into other languages unless a scanlation group does it themselves. Just by looking at some of the publishing dates of some of the manga, I believe that many of the mangaka would be grateful to get the extra exposure, as it is a form of advertising for them, years after the fact. I am sure that some people here are buying back published manga because they want to own what they have read. (this is only my opinion) So I don't think that MangaGo will shut down. If this happens, then all the scan groups and other hosting site might be shut down too.

There was an aggregate site that closed down a couple years ago so your worries are valid. There was some licensing problems but the decision to close it was more about the people getting tired of managing it.

Uwah don't jinx it.... personally, i'd gladly pay to read online (there's no way in hell i could stash this many manga-volumes in my tiny place), but as far as i know, the already existing readers (connected to the publishers) only host a tiny number of mangas - and mostly the popular ones. Since Mangas like G-Defend simply won't be translated (officially) i could only buy the chinese volumes available and learn to read it.
What frustrates me far more, is that this kind of fervent love we all experience never reaches the original creator - no matter how passionate we argue about mangas, the creators won't even know about it.

@morcheeba I know- still it would be nice if the hate outburst and thr agressive arguments would not lead us to the worst scenario ne?

@Evilcleo Still it would lead (when the arguments and hate outburst don't stop) to the worst case .... I just hope that the people wo are fond of hate outburst would stop treating this website as if they own it and starts trolling knowing the consequences won't be theirs to pay...

@hanna Yes me too. At first I didn't know Yaoi so I started to research. I'm so glad I found this site. And I also buy the mangas that I'm interested in. So in short without mangago I would not know the existence of Yaoi mangas. :)
