I see where you’re coming from but I’m not sure about selfish since he is a recessive and didn’t expect his heat to hit him hard. He said usually it’ll pass easily and quickly.

It's an interesting premise, though he's selfish lying about being a beta like this since it could create (and it most likely will) a lot of problems once he goes into heat.
