Friendly reminder! If you actually have a nosebleed irl, you SHOULD LOWER YOUR HEAD, otherwise you COULD DIE, since by raising your head, you're allowing the blood to flow back, which can cause you to CHOKE ON YOUR OWN BLOOD!!! This is a popular misconception, so beware and don't be fooled. P.S. I'm not saying this as some random person, but someone who went through first aid training and knows that a lot of people are unaware of this important fact.
We may not know each other but you possibly saved me from something bad in the future cause my room is really hot and I've been heating up alot and my mom tells me to be careful just in case of as nosebleed thank you

Please be sure to drink water regularly too. I used to get nosebleeds a lot because I was dehydrated all the time.
Thanks for this. Whenever the weather here starts turning warmer, I always get nosebleeds. The nurse always told me to tilt my head back and I hated it because I hated the feeling of swallowing my blood. I'd always end up with my throat hurting too.
Thank you! Telling me this you scared the hell out of me, but thank you. You have no idea of how many nosebleeds I had had an everyone told me to rise my head. So thank you, you might just have save a few people.
Dude, it grinds my gears so much when anyone says to tilt your head backward during a nose bleed. Maybe even more than TV shows where people bend their arms during CPR compressions and slap unconscious patients.
