If I was on her shoes, I would be fucking depressed in that world cause I would never know when the people I care for will forget my existence and when will they finally cease to exist. All the memories you have with them will seem like a dream. I would be much worse than Dani, honestly. She is very strong.

Shes too worried about FOILING the plot, not "following". She's trying her hardest NOT to go the way she thinks the story wants to. This is what makes it a little more unique. Other stories have the FL way too focused on sticking to the story that they read before. For Dani, the story is taking place as she lives it. So she is trying to guess the plot and run the opposite direction.
It's not that she's purposely trying to foil the plot, she's trying to go along the story while trying to reduce the damage she'll receive
With the middle school, Heavenly Kings, she is going along with it because she gave up trying to run. But this time, with this "new plot" she is trying to foil the plot.
I'm sorry but dani is pissing me off alittle bc she's too worried about following the plot n not even paying attention on what's she's gonna do that's gonna impact around others. though I can't really blame her bc she's still tryna figure out what's going on
