Since Chiyoko's fame will only last a few more years (I forgot how many) in order for her to stay popular, by beating Yonagi and her partner, she will gain fame again. Araya just wants to gain fame since the director died or wants to make a name for himself. But it can backfire really bad if Chiyoko's team lose since Yonagi is someone the company STARS rejected and Yonagi's partner is someone who left STARS.
