I don't know why but this dissapointed me... The pacing went really fast in chapter 4, and their love line exchanges are just cringy. I mean there are a lot yaoi mangas with cringy dialogues anyway.

Yeah, I agree. The development between them was oddly paced and I cringed too at the dialogue. It was almost as if they weren’t the same characters as in the beginning lol

Same... It was like the seme was not the seme who called him a slut before... The seme wasn't developed at all, like he had a complete 180 on personality, and they just jumped in into the sex... Maybe yaoi shouldn't be taken seriously but I was pissed when I read chapter 4 (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

I thought more would agree but they were simple-minded than I thought. Well this is yaoi and it's actually my guilty pleasure. I usually read or watch those with good stories, but I don't mind cliches (as long as it's not cringy), only if it's yaoi. Am I the only one like that? ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Yeah exactly, like how do you go from verbal abuse to “I love you” the next second without any proper transition lmao. Even them fucking in the first chapter was so weird because there legit was no chemistry between these characters. It’s hardly the great story everyone else touted it to be.

You dc know that people can have sex just for pleasure and have no chemistry. It develops over time. It makes sense since Kira was getting over a break up and Fuji wasn't looking for anything. Geez, I hate when people bitch about the stupidest shit. And verbal abuse? Come on. That's their dynamic, now you're just forcing it. I mean really.

Like, all of your comments almost made me not read this, but now I can see that this all is just a bunch people not really knowing how defense mechanisms work or how people hide their emotions or close themselves off, even if they themselves don't even like who they've become. Clearly there was some self-resentment on Fuji's part. i'm not saying that you have to be a genius intellectual, but learn how the human mind and personalities work, especially when someone is trying to cope with something traumatic. Hello, did no one see that epiphany he had. He literally realized that he couldn't keep closing Kira off. Can you guys stop looking for problems when there are far worse issues in Yaoi than this. Jesus!

Umm, yeah they were, you just don't knows character development and growth work. We just got to know more about them over time

Well it worked for you. Didn’t work for us — pacing was off and clumsy — and that’s all there is to it.
