Just think of it this way: they bullied her, they get punished for that(they get fired). Let's be honest, sitting and reciting all the bad things that you did is not really a punishment. It's like, someone's bullying you, then when it's time to punish them, you just tell them "tell me all the bad things you did to me" after that nothing. Just imagine, someone punched you in the face and they said "sorry I punched you in the face", then you be like "okay" and that's that. After they list all the things they did then it's just forgive and forget lmao.
There's also the fact that the maids stayed on their knees for all the time over and over under the tension of doing something wrong and being heavily punished. I'm sure that hurt, both their body and pride.
I think that constant reminding, anxiety and long term pressure are a good way to take revenge on who harassed her, other than being a good measure since she can keep them in check, unlike with Mrs.Collin that doesn't work directly for her.
Yes let's yeet her!! But I also agree with ur stance in this arguement. Constantly laughing and bullying someone who's frail and clearly won't defend themselves should be prepared to be fired! They never thought they would because of her weak personality at the time and said and did whatever they pleased. I think it's a light punishment to have them on they're knees only tasting a small bit of her anxiety. Anxiety she had all day due to them :/
They didn't apologize to Chloe because they feel sorry to what they've done, they apologized because they don't want to be punished for the bullying. Remember, they had a meeting where they talked about how Chloe would be handling the budget management again? That means that Chloe would have, even if just a bit, an authority now at her disposal. Remember how they planned on how to apologize. They apologized because now that she has a bit of authority, they were afraid that she would use it to get revenge. So don't be feeling sorry for them coz they're only getting their just desserts.
