I only have brothers (biological and step) so it’s kinda awkward for me to read anything almost incest like this. The only saving grace for me with these non-blood related incest is their kids won’t suffer even if they do become a couple ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ tho the author is actually smart not to show too much of the older Hari interacting with her brothers in the future because that would definitely make the rest of the story fucking awkward and weird.

I understand what you mean. I was adopted a little later in my chilhood and have lots of brothers, even so, I still partway grew up with them and it makes this feel awkward for me to read stories with the siblings even if they are not related getting together. Still, it is not technically incest since they aren't blood related. ....I still don't think people who are raised as siblings should be together though....

Hm. Don’t know why you’re bringing that up even tho I’m talking about the case with incestuous couples having kids. I know it’s not like it lowers the chances of recessive genes presenting when you’re not biologically related to your spouse ╮ ( ̄へ ̄) ╭ but you could at least rule out being biologically related as a reason for your kids being born with conditions.
(Kinda hard to form sentences since english is not my first language pls excuse me)

Well, the mom does appear to have mental issues after the daughters death. Her delusions were a big part of what was straining the family and causing the boys to act out. The dad seemed pretty desperate for anything to help the mom and so would go along with a lot of her actions. She definitely was super weird about the mc.

Hmm that's interesting. I guess everyone picked up different things, which is why there is a lot of different opinions about this ship. I don't really think she ever viewed him as a brother because of how she described how close they were later on and the way she reacted when he fell on top of her(aka when both of them blushed) wouldn't tell me she had brotherly love for him(that's the moment I started shipping them tbh). But you do have a right on your opinion and I understand why you think so!
some of y’all are really sus.... imagine you yourself having an adoptive brother who you grew up with and he starts having romantic feelings for you... that’s still gross whether you’re blood relatives or not
