I ship Sungjoon and Naru, because I tend to like well-developed, toxic characters like Sungjoon. Furthermore, I find him to be a the most interesting and conflicting character in the story. Throughout, we can see that he's suffering, which makes it easier to be sympathize with him despite his horrible actions. IRL however, his behavior is obviously unacceptable. But I feel like the narrative and mangaka has made it clear that what Sungjoon has done is wrong, and Sungjoon has had consequences from his actions. Therefore, I don't think it's wrong to ship them.
However, I really dislike how people will bash women in BL. Like, it's obvious in this case, that Somi is a nice girl, and that IRL she and Naru would be good together. Or that if a woman had done what Sungjoon did, there would be a lot less sympathy from the readers here. I think it's totally fine to like Sungjoon and Naru together, or prefer MxM, but I don't understand why people have to hate women characters. I don't necessarily think women characters/shojou is inherently inferior to male characters/BL; it's completely dependent on the work.
totally agree with everything you said, i would've said it myself if i wasn't so lazy, so thanks for telling what i had in mind, lol! Somi's a good girl, she's really sweet! I don't like the mysoginy that's ingrained even in women's minds, it's so toxic, I hope we can work on it.
