That's what bugs me. He didn't learn or grow from any of this. The only reason he's crying and apologizing is because he finally sees and hears that Chiwoo will not forgive him this time. He does not feel remorse nor did he reflect on the horrible shit they did. He went home and tried to throw the blame on his father. We weren't shown Jihyun's family environment. I just know his father beat him. But that could just be his way of discipline because Jihyun is just a terrible kid who grew up to be a shitty person. I don't want to see him redeemed, he does deserve it. I just want to see him in jail for all the shit he's done.
jihyun really left that hospital room after chiwoo told him that what happened to them and their relationship is all his fault and proceeded to put that all on his father. I'm sure his dad wasn't the greatest dude, but come on. you should be ashamed of yourself. never mind the rape and the multiple physical assaults on chiwoo and his friends, you also have the audacity to ask for forgiveness and think that you can be friends again. d e p o r t e d.
