Clearly, he just had some light grudges, which is why he's so freaked out that his wishes came true. And...if he was so desperate for a girlfriend, why didn't he try hard on improving himself to the point where girls would find him attractive? I really can't stand people who sit around and do nothing while wallowing in self-pity. Even a ghost can do that...
