Lmao Baek Cheon is a terrible person. She’s forcing Ye to marry the emperor in her steed. What kind of friend does that to someone they consider their friend/family? She’s an awful person. Sure she was forced to marry the emperor herself, but to force her fate on to someone else is despicable. Ye should grow a back bone and tell Baek off for being a bitch.
How about you in ye hwa state instead.. What do you feel when someone like baek choon force you like that.. How do you feel you do not own your life and had to follow other ppl wishes.. Being educated or not is not the reason.. But being selfish and able to sacrifice you own childhood friends that you know both heart and soul.. How could baek choon do that? Unless she a bitch.. Using ppl to satisfy her whim.. Sorry for me she a bitch and asshole
You do know that in this era there's really no understanding of "common sense" or "morals", they do have a sense of morals but in their time, though it's completely different from our view point, this is normal.
Also Baek Cheon wasn't trained or taught "how to be a good friend" so how is she going to know what it takes to be a good friend when she, THE PRINCESS, was only trained/taught how treat those below her as THINGS BELOW HER.
Ariel (the little mermaid) wasn't taught what a fork was so she uses it as a comb. Pocahontas didn't know what 'gold' was so she assumed it was corn. Babies aren't aware that not everything can be eaten and need to be taught that because they lack mental development. Teenagers don't get that world isn't as easy as they think it is they have to LEARN and EXPERIENCE that in order to get it.
The same is applied to Ye, because she's aware of both her status and Baek Cheon, and she was raised and taught to act and be lower than royal blood. Don't act as if you didn't, aren't and/or haven't gone threw the same process as them because you know you have.
She not terrible, she a CHILD. (and to be honest children are jerks anyway)
Same to you. She's....STILL A KID AT THE MOMENT. Let her grow up a bit and EXPERIENCE life a bit and then your values will change about her. I pretty sure you betrayed someone in your past and thought nothing of it, and when you grow a little you'll recall that time and truly feel guilty about doing it. Baek Cheon will also have that moment if the author decides to develop her character that far or not.
if baek choon kill ppl because SHE STILL KID AT THE MOMENT.. LET her GROW UP and she will know the mistake of killings ppl..so let her be whatever because she still kid. I never betray someone in my past life or nor because i believe this life is the only one life i ever had..a lot of ppl betray me and for me let them be.. Karma will be real to bitch like them..so thank you for you opinion in defending A INNOCENT KID LIKE BAEK CHOON.. I'M DROPPING THIS BYE.. WASTE MY TIME
I'm pretty sure empathy and sympathy was a pretty universal and global concept even back in the old old days. At the age she is at she understands what is right or wrong. While the time of place is different, having different morals doesn't let her free from being a douchbag. You can see this the most by how she understands that she doesnt have a choice and feels so helpless as royalty while she of course sees the "freedom" of a commoner. Yes she's naive and doesn't know alot of things. She knows no freedom is bad and having freedom is good. I'm pretty sure she realizes she has her freedom with the price of her childhood friend taking the hit. I believe she knows full well of what she is doing but hiding behind the fact, "oh she was a commoner I'm sure she'll enjoy being rich lol." Its hypocrisy. And on the point that she's a child and how she was taught can change her view point. A baby is different from a child, and a child is different from a teen. While they are all young they still have different levels of understanding; and She has a little less than two decades under her belt correct? That's a lot of time to understand and learn how to not be a douchebag. Not only that I would like to assume that she can recognize when someone is happy or upset. Meaning she knows her actions have consequences whether she cares or not is another issue of course. No one likes having their childhood friend be sad or angry at them because of what you did. And another point, just because you were ignorant of what you were doing doesn't mean you are free from the consequences of your actions. I'd love for the character to learn and grow, but I also want her to get absolutely clapped first to realize she's a shit person.
This story is in a different era...did it not just not compute or what? You don't know WHO you were in your PAST LIFE for all I know you could've been just like her or worse. I've also been betrayed before as well but you don't see me complaining about it all I can do is accept it and learn from it a grow into a better person. You were also a child once (maybe you still are) you've probably said or done something bad and was forgiven for it because you were a CHILD so you are also in a way, the same Baek Cheon.
The only true waste of time is someone trying their best to share knowledge with someone and that person doesn't even try to retain any of that information and doesn't show that they learned anything from it.
So I won't be apologizing for something that was suppose to be a kind gesture so instead....I hope you have a good life.
My favorite? I will go for Baekcheon because I like spoiled child haha.
And eventhough her character makes it difficult for people to like her, she is literally helping Yehwa in her own way (how she pointed out the impolite maid).
Her improvements are already showing because we all know that she will be the first one any concubing will try to kill because of her influence and advices she gives to Yehwa. So this will be her special lessons. How she will learn to quiet down and lower herself to survive.
I don't think Baekcheon is that terrible, to my opinion she is quite cute. She was taught that everything belongs to her so she is not aware of her egotistical mind. And same with Yehwa, who was told that everything belonged to Baekcheon. That's just how they are. That's how they were educated. Both does have their reasons to think how they do. Anyways I'm sure that the Emperor isn't that "old". And Baekcheon seems to like this "beggar" Yehwa took with her. But at the same time, she seems interested in the 8th Prince, aaah such dilemma.
