I'm freaking sad. Who is publishing it though, and when is the release announced? And to be honest, I bought so much mangas after I read it here... I don't buy it/them if I don't know if they're good shit or not. So this policy of harassing scanlation groups is stupid and backfires most of the times.

Is it even confirmed it’s getting an English release? Otherwise I didn’t understand. I would never know of it without scanlators or read it but I’m way more likely to buy copies of the Japanese version if I read and loved the story than I am to buy them without being able to read them at all. I buy copies of manga I love even if I can’t read them because I like them from online translations and even when they get official translations I still buy them more than I would if they weren’t available online. It’s more like collecting ones you like in western culture because they’re way more expensive over here.

No, it's not confirmed, I really don't know who contact them, maybe it was the Japanese publisher? No idea. I too collect the Japanese versions, and in Dousei Yankee Akamatsu Seven case I bought the original manga even before there was an online translation available because I fell in love with art. And volume 2 is on its way from Japan, mostly because I was excited to read it here. I do like to support the mangakas, and the quality of the Japanese publishing is way better than the one in my country. It's sad we won't be able to read this one unless it gets published in some language, and it will be probably very hard to happen as Dousei is not your typical yaoi manga and foreign publishers may think it could not appeal their readers. ... Maybe someone is able to share at least the translations as a text version? That way I don't think there's anything against the law.

I mean its always possible that a different team will pick up the manga and start translating it, but I haven’t heard of any group wanting to pick it up and even if another group decided to it could be far in the future....damn, I was so excited to see and update but instead got horrible news ╥﹏╥

It happened before, a group having to abadon a manga because of copyright reasons... And that manga suddenly being picked up by a brand new group that started putting out the remaining chapters with the same quality... I mean... The tumblr groups are anonymous, so theoretically nothing stops the Yankee group from "reassembling" under a new name and starting to post the rest of the chapters out in a less aloud way... Or that's what I hope could happen. Expecially since it seems nobody announced this manga being licensed so it probably was found out by the original Japanese publisher.
