I think it's because she hid her "ugly" appearance in her first round of life after the mana-increasing spell backfired. She had remained in her room for a whole year, I believe, before that happened, so I doubt anyone other than Gaspal, the cousin, the father, and the servants knew her identity. The soldiers on the battlefield probably assumed she was an injured civilian from a town nearby or that she was a servant to Gaspal. I don't remember there being any mention [on the battlefield] that the disguised, scarred person was Baron's wife. I could be wrong, though.

Ah.. yeah with her being such a skilled summoner it wouldn't be surprising if she could figure out a summon to hide her if really needed.
Plus with her mini debut in the current life with her dressing up and noone really recognizing her, it really does show how little she's seen in society.Σ( ̄□ ̄||)
Being a poor civilian/servant would also be a good guess too!
I can totally see Gaspal getting praise points from people thinking he picked up a poor dedicated mutt off the streets(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
How did noone figure something was wack with the "Golden Summoner's wife" being on the battlefield? Did they just figure with how disfigured the backfire was, she's just some loon looking for death and was like "eh why not"???
Like during the engagement change, he mentions that they'll figure something is up if she goes with them to the battlefield so it's better that they aren't seen together.
I know before she came back, she would do almost anything for him but if she had to hide her identity, she something wouldn't make sense..
