the “beach” / island chapter you’re referring to was just a special chapter for china’s national day holiday, there was never going to be a continuation of it. there are several special chapters (usually done for holidays or ads) throughout the story which may be why you feel it’s inconsistent when they don’t continue and it moves back to the original storyline.
This is honestly the best comic ever... I wish it were more consistent tho. I wanted to see them go on the private island~
