I understand. There's nothing like enduring incredible ignorance about one's own culture. Kind of like a tourist showing up at a restaurant in Sevilla, asking for a bowl of Texas style chili and wondering where the mariachi band is. My family's mostly Welsh. A while back, I made shepherd's pie for a pot luck, and had several people tell me kindly that it should be made with beef and not lamb. (Hello! SHEPHERD'S pie!!)
No you’re right shepherds pie should have lamb when I first heard that it was made with beef I was like “dat don’t even remotely make sense!(╯°Д °)╯╧╧ ” While trying to murder the English language while I was dissing the notion.

so this isn´t really important and im gratefull that someone traduced this and shared it with everyone here, but i have to say this because as a spaniard it anoys the hell out of me, the spanish word for beloved is "querida" not "carida" i think you just mixed here the italian "cara mia" with the spanish one, since carida doesn´t exist in either one. I could be that this mistake comes from the original work and not from the translators, so next time with words like this just double check with google ;). like a said its not really important, i just wanted to share mit opinion and knowledge with you and ramble a bit ╮(￣▽￣)╭.
PS: the pasta dish he mentions that he can cook is also italian (not that we don´t know it or could make it but its not typical spanisch, a tortilla or paella would have fit better) and now i really going to stop rambling... its just i´ve been living away from spain so long and i miss it a bit, so inacurrate things like these anoy me ╥﹏╥
