I think it because they are desperate for a leader to help the country flourish. And if a strong ally like Greed was gone, there would be no one could help them protect the country. Idk
well yeah, but it would be weird for them to start a revolution without having somebody they plan to crown
like what, they were just like, let's overthrow the king, we'll see after with what to do afterwards
i mean, yeah the king is awful but if you have no plan apart from overthrowing him, you're not making it any better
and they obviously know that they could be prey to other kingdoms, they should have worried about that beforehand
they were lucky lord greed decided to decimate the king and he's willing to be king but idk, i just don't like it

i don't really like how that dante dude just started shouting 'hail the lord greed', forcing him to become king
i feel like it's kind of shady how he just started it just as she was explaining to the lord why it might not be the best thing to do. and they sort of got over it by talking about how she would make a good wife (in the way she would support the country etc) which you would be, but it's not necessarily what she wants to do and they're just forcing it on her
