I thought it was because Artis wanted other people to think he was a girl, that's why the MC keept calling him a she when they where with other people and a he when they where alone. But maybe it was just an error... i don't know haha i always overthink things
Artis is a guy. Found out from somewhere that it seems like the translator changed midway or some shit like that. They already established at the beginning that artis is a guy, and the reason they didn't react when they call him "she" is because it's just a translation error ╮(￣▽￣)╭
