Your reply has soothed the monster of dissatisfaction in my chest, thanks. This separation should at LEAST prove to Ibelina that things aren't going how she thought, and that she needs to accept the present as it happens.

Everyone hates how Ibelina left him but I think it was the right choice tbh. Back in the old days, you cant be a lover of a Lord, especially with a high status like Alejandro has when you are just a maid. While Alejandro doesnt care about rumors spreading about him, it still a cause of concern.
Rumors aside, everyone will be suspicious why Alejandro is with a maid, thus they would think that maybe Ibelina was the one who cured Alejandro’s curse (which Ibelina didnt want to be known). If that got out, Ibelina would be in danger not just to other Lords but by the royal family itself who would most likely use/experiment on her.
I think its a safe choice FOR NOW to leave. As much as I dont want her to, it was for the best to make her safe and away from the influence of the nobles. Who knows when she comes back, and she sees how Alejandro still loves her and not that foreign princess, then maybe it could work.
