yeah. great storyline. i would've never imagined the alpha to be the one caged

Yeah no, the alpha was obsessed and manipulative. I'm not going to feel bad about him because he's "caged in his feelings" or whatever. He's not the one with restrictions on how to live his life.

This was a nah from me.

idk what you have been reading but you've completely missed the whole context of the story. omegaverse storylines tend to glorify the theme of omegas being controlled by the alphas, whether it's bc of them being a fated pair or simply bc of pheromones but this story went beyond that. the irony in the title implies that the alpha was in fact being caged & not the omega. the alpha's life revolves around the omega. he gave up everything only to be with the one he loved. in fact, the alpha was so deeply enthralled by the omega, he even stated that he was born to be paired with him. "i'm not going to feel bad about him"? that's not necessary. he never once said that he was pitiful. they only need each other and none of that rotten family dynamics.

Yeah I got what the author was trying to do. I'm saying it was done poorly. You don't have to explain it to me, that part was pretty obvious but it felt like an add on so they could play the "see, they're both caged" defense.
