I thought it was pretty petty as well. It seemed like a shallow reason... but I could understand why to an extent. The prince was an insecure child, so he let his jealousy cloud his emotions and judgements. He must have made up an undesirable image in his head of Tia looking down on him because she was better at everything... It's just human nature, I guess. In his head, she was the enemy. His pride couldn't allow him to treat her as she deserved. (｡•︿•｡) ༼;´༎ ༎༽
I really wish she won't end up with him... but it feels like the author is leading this to be a PrincexTia route... ರ╭╮ರ
Personally, I tend to get attracted to the intelligent, devious and shady but handsome characters most of the time. So, I really like Allen. BUT! His love for Tia seems more like an obssession to me.

Allen is shown to be very cruel and two-faced a lot, too. What's worse, I can't like him fully for Tia because of his negative thoughts about her father. I fear he'll get rid of him somehow if it means getting Tia, not considering how that would break her heart. ¯_ಠ_ಠ_/¯
I agree with most of the comments that the Prince shouldn't be it for Tia. Maybe he could change... but I just can't forget about his cruelty in her past life. I can understand a little why he hated her, but that kind of cruelty and pain he inflicted on her was simply despicable.
And now, at last! Why Carsein? (｡♡‿♡｡)
I usually dislike the more brawn less brainy types of characters. But Carsein is actually very smart. He seems to lack the propriety and manners at first, but he's so sensitive and caring. What more, I love how Tia can laugh and feel carefree around him all the time. (~￣³￣)~ Carsein is definitely the best out of these three! (◍•ᴗ•◍)✧*。
